At BITĖ, the QA Engineer plays a key role in validating product functionality, ensuring quality and reducing release risks. This position requires sharp analytical skills, attention to detail, and the flexibility to handle both routine and high-pressure projects, including urgent releases and last-minute changes.

Primary Responsibilities

Technical Skills

• Test Case Design

  • Design, maintain, and execute test cases and test scripts based on user stories, business rules, and acceptance criteria

  • Use test management tools like Factory or Excel-based repositories

• Defect Tracking

  • Accurately identify, log, and track bugs in bug tracking systems

  • Work with development teams to clarify defects and ensure timely resolutions

• API Testing

  • Conduct manual API testing using tools like Postman

  • Verify endpoints, data structure, and status responses against technical specifications

• Basic SQL (Optional)

  • Execute simple SQL queries to validate data in backend systems

  • Assist in troubleshooting issues related to data integrity

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail

  • Spot inconsistencies in UI, logic, and performance across various environments

• Analytical Thinking

  • Break down complex features into testable components and identify potential edge cases

• Communication Skills

  • Communicate clearly and proactively with developers, project managers, and stakeholders

  • Log reproducible defects with supporting data and actively contribute to Agile ceremonies

• Problem-Solving

  • Troubleshoot issues across layers of the application and suggest efficient workarounds or resolutions

• Adaptability to Fast-Paced Projects

  • Proven ability to manage testing tasks under tight deadlines and shifting priorities

  • Efficient in high-pressure environments, such as last-minute releases, production hotfixes, and critical business deliveries

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in manual testing

• Experience with Agile development processes and QA lifecycle

• Familiarity with the Telco domain is a plus

• A team player with a strong focus on software quality and customer satisfaction

• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments

• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)

Gross salary 1900-2600 EUR/month. The exact amount will depend on experience and skills.
